The World Health Organisation (WHO) praises Nepal for implementing regulations to control tobacco. The WHO believes that the regulation will control smoking and other consumptions of tobacco products which are considered the main problem of public health.
Nepal chief of WHO Dr Lin Aung praises the role of Nepal in controlling tobacco at a function organised by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
According to WHO, 15,000 Nepalis per year die due to tobacco.
